Summary

Leonard Hofstadter is a physicist at Caltech. He's single and lives with a roommate, Sheldon. Leonard is much more socially conscious than his best friend and roommate, but that's not to say that he doesn't get himself in trouble every now and again.

He enjoys hanging out with his scientist friends, playing Klingon Boggle, watching Battlestar Galactica, etc. Also a fan of Halo, Leonard and his friends have a night dedicated to playing the popular Xbox game.

Despite all of his "geekiness," Leonard's the most well-adjusted of the group. You'll often see him volunteering to help out his neighbor Penny with any trivial problem.

Though Leonard is attracted to Penny, nothing has really happened between them, other than a simple kiss when Penny had a little too much to drink. Leonard's only contact with women has been with Leslie Winkle, who is another physicist at the lab where Leonard works.
